Desciple thought that Swamiji was trying to ask for some time to think and then answer.
So in anxiety to give less time and as always trying to prove that all rituals like Prayers, Meditation, Fasting, Yoga are useless, he ran to get water for Swamiji.

 

When Desciple returned with Glass of Water, Swamiji was sitting in Meditation.
Desciple, wanted to have an immediate answer disturbed Swamiji in his Meditation by
calling out loudly , “ Swamiji, I have brought water for You”.

 

Swamiji, opened his eyes and asked, “ yes My Brother, What is it?”Desciple : “Swamiji, you had asked for Water, and I have brought Water for You.” Swamiji : “Yes, but I had not asked for Glass, I had asked for Water only.”
Desciple : “But Swamiji, Without Glass, How could water have reached here.”

 

Swamiji then explained him : “ Just like Glass, which became a MEDIUM for letting
the Water reach here, All these rituals of Prayers and Meditation becomes a Medium
to transport you (i.e. Your SOUL) to GOD.

GLASS OR ANY OTHER (TRANSPORTING) MEDIUM OR PACKAGING IS MOST ESSENTIAL FOR US HUMAN BEINGS
